Isn’t it time to introduce a little “feel good factor”?

February 28, 2011

If you’re looking for the “feel good factor”, then why not come and join me in a new initiative I’ve just launched?  Called “Feel Great Friday!”, I think it’s something that’s going to appeal to you…

So, what’s it all about?
“Feel Great Friday!” is about raising money for the charity of YOUR choice. All I’m asking you to do is choose a Friday in which you’ll waive your usual fees and charges – and instead ask your clients and customers to donate to YOUR favourite charity. Whether you choose to do just one Friday a year, one a month – or even one a week – is completely up to you!

My aim is to create a way to raise money for charity AND ensure that those people who can’t usually afford our services still have a way to tap into the help they need. And of course, adopting this altruistic stance will also help us all feel great about ourselves at the same time!

Yes, I’m dreaming BIG – but ultimately, I want to get professionals and organisations all around the world to take part…AND I’m really hoping that you’ll join me – both with spreading the message and by choosing to take part in the “Feel Great Friday!” initiative yourself.

Encouragingly, everyone I’ve spoken to really loves the idea – and lots of people have already committed to joining in (we even have someone in New Zealand who’s starting to make it happen over there).  And amazingly, within the first week of announcing the idea, I found myself being interviewed on ITV Wales!

Personally, I’ve decided to make the final Friday of each month into a ‘Feel Great Friday!’. Every client who books a session with me through my new “Olivia Confidential” service on the last Friday of each month will not be charged my usual fee – but instead I’ll be asking them to make a donation to my chosen charity, “The Moebius Research Trust”. It’s a little known charity that’s working hard to find the cause of Moebius Syndrome, a condition that causes facial paralysis from birth – which means that those with the syndrome will never be able to smile.

So how can you join in?
The first way is to declare your intention! So, send me an email to say that you want to join in, and we can take it from there. And the good news is that my wonderful PA Ceri (whose son Isaac has Moebius Syndrome, hence my choice of charity) has also pledged to help every individual and organisation taking part with some help regarding PR – so, with luck, your charitable efforts will ALSO generate some publicity for you and your organisation. (Don’t you just love win:win:win projects in which everyone benefits?)

The second way is to help spread the message – for example, it would be just fabulous if you could forward this blog to a couple of people you feel might like to get involved with the “Feel Great Friday!” initiative.  And if you have any other ways of publicising it, please do let me know…

The third way is to book in an “Olivia Confidential” coaching session with me on the final Friday of the month. (Remember, I’ll be waiving my usual fee – and instead be asking you simply to make a donation to The Moebius Trust…and of course, your session can be held either face-to-face or over the phone, whichever is more appropriate.) I’m really hoping that you’ll join in me in what is destined to be a simple, inspiring and remarkable project…

As usual Olivia, you are a trendsetter and not a follower! Love the passion and sense of purpose that you bring to your work (and your authentic desire to help as many others as you can in the time that we have on this planet.) You can count me in.

Bless you Lily…and having you “counted in”…is a real vote of confidence! And if we can get together to have a chat about how you’re doing…and how we can move things forward that would be just ACE! x
